🌲 A Note from Outdoor Education

We have this audacious goal at RCS for 2023-24 to plant 100 new trees on our campus as a way to honor the 100th anniversary of Grand Rapids Christian Schools. We are using this opportunity to teach our children the importance of trees, the value of hard work, and the understanding of why planting native Michigan trees is more worthy than non-native species.

I often remind students, “Every choice has an impact.” We see an example of that clearly in the trees that are along our front drive. Thirty years ago the species that was chosen to line our driveway was a non-native callery pear. It is an aggressive invasive species that is now filling our fields and threatening native undergrowth. Every choice has an impact.

For November and December we will be collecting pop cans and spare change for Mel Trotter Ministries. Thanks for your willingness to donate as a reminder to our children that generosity is a part of the Christian life.

RCS TRIP Office

The TRIP Office is available on Tuesday mornings in the RCS Office from 8 am to 10 am.

New to TRIP? TRIP allows you to reduce the cost of tuition by purchasing gift cards and gift certificates for things you buy every day from hundreds of national and local vendors.

How does TRIP work? When you purchase gift cards at face value, a percentage of your purchase is credited to your TRIP account. Two times per year (November 1 and May 1), the accumulated TRIP credits are applied as payment to your tuition account, or donated to the tuition account you have designated.
