Lost and Found

Take a look at our virtual lost and found items that your student might be missing!

Weather–Appropriate Attire Reminder

Please ensure that your student comes to school with weather-appropriate attire throughout the school year. The only time that we will plan to have indoor recess is if there is an active thunderstorm in the area, or if the temperature/wind chill is below zero.

As the weather begins to transition to heavy rain and snow, we recommend that you bring a set of socks, gloves, a hat, snow pants and boots to be left at school.

RCS Kids Care is Hiring!

We are seeking friendly, compassionate, and responsible individuals, 16 years old or older, to work in our Kids Care program! If interested, or know of anyone who may be interested, please contact the office.

A Note From Outdoor Education

Some of our younger students helped harvest seeds from marigold plants I had growing in pots. We noticed how the "dead heads" (those former flowers that looked completely dead) held seeds that were viable while the beautiful orange flowers themselves held seeds that were not yet developed and would not be able to grow if planted. Without getting too philosophical about it all, I was reminded how Outdoor Ed at RCS is all about the process and not about the immediate concluding result. I was reminded how death can bring forth life,  that what is old and ugly might be more valuable than the showy and beautiful, and  how "for everything there is a season."

The students picked the seeds but we won't plant them again until spring. Creation takes time. Our instant gratification paradigm should be challenged by God's plan of seasons and years and restoration and rest. We must not look at creation and think, "How can we use this?" Instead, we should consider the question, "What can we learn from this?" All of this pondering came from picking seeds. Go figure. Slow down to see the world.

RCS Hot Lunch

This month we are offering two choices, so it's very important that you talk to your child about what their lunch selection is for that day. Please help us reinforce that they may not switch after they have placed their order. Thank you!

There is still time to apply for lunch benefits! Go to the Family Portal and apply for lunch benefits at any time throughout the year. The family portal may also be used for depositing money into your child's account at NO CHARGE. Please be mindful of your child's account balances, currently, we have over $2500 dollars in negative accounts. Thank you for your support.  To sign up to deposit money online,  you will need to know your student's ID number, which can be found on your Parent Vue account or email Jill Zondag

RCS TRIP Office

The TRIP Office is available on Tuesday mornings in the RCS Office!

New to TRIP? TRIP allows you to reduce the cost of tuition by purchasing gift cards and gift certificates for things you buy every day from hundreds of national and local vendors.

How does TRIP work? When you purchase gift cards at face value, a percentage of your purchase is credited to your TRIP account. Two times per year (Nov. 1 and May 1), the accumulated TRIP credits are applied as payment to your tuition account, or donated to the tuition account you have designated.

Parents in Prayer

We have a unique opportunity to gather as moms, dads, and grandparents to pray for our school — little siblings are welcome too!

Parents In Prayer will be meeting on Wednesday mornings after drop-off. We will again be meeting outside and walking around the campus. We will follow the guidelines given by the Moms in Prayer organization. You can find the resources that we will use here.

We look forward to having many parents join us this year!
