A Note From Outdoor Education

As we enter November, Thanksgiving Day is approaching. I am thankful for so many things that one day can't quite capture it all. That's why I am making November "Thanksgiving Month."

  • This month in OE, the 7th Grade will be visiting the Cannonsburg Museum. In looking back at the lives of the people who have lived in this area before us, we can be thankful for the miracles of our modern way of living, but still, perhaps appreciate what those who have gone before us had to endure.
  • This month in OE, the 5th Grade will be attending Uncle Phil's Survival School. We hope our students come back home with a renewed sense of thankfulness for electricity, running water, and indoor heating.
  • This month in OE, the 4th Grade will be going to John Ball Zoo for a week, and they can be thankful for the imaginative genius of God as seen in the myriad of creatures he has made.
  • This month, we hope to bless others by raking leaves and in doing so, begin to understand the power of a community coming together. This is something for which RCS can be thankful.

God's world is beautiful. The season continues to unfold. The colors have been amazing. Let's all continue to be thankful people. You have my permission to make Thanksgiving a month-long celebration.

RCS Hot Lunch

This month we are offering two choices, so it's very important that you talk to your child about what their lunch selection is for that day. Please help us reinforce that they may not switch after they have placed their order. Thank you!

There is still time to apply for lunch benefits! Go to the Family Portal and apply for lunch benefits at any time throughout the year. The family portal may also be used for depositing money into your child's account at NO CHARGE. Please be mindful of your child's account balances, currently, we have over $2500 dollars in negative accounts. Thank you for your support.  To sign up to deposit money online,  you will need to know your student's ID number, which can be found on your Parent Vue account or email Jill Zondag

RCS TRIP Office

The TRIP Office is available on Tuesday mornings in the RCS Office!

New to TRIP? TRIP allows you to reduce the cost of tuition by purchasing gift cards and gift certificates for things you buy every day from hundreds of national and local vendors.

How does TRIP work? When you purchase gift cards at face value, a percentage of your purchase is credited to your TRIP account. Two times per year (November 1 and May 1), the accumulated TRIP credits are applied as payment to your tuition account, or donated to the tuition account you have designated.

Parents in Prayer

We have a unique opportunity to gather as moms, dads, and grandparents to pray for our school — little siblings are welcome too!

Parents In Prayer will be meeting on Wednesday mornings after drop-off. We will again be meeting outside and walking around the campus. We will follow the guidelines given by the Moms in Prayer organization. You can find the resources that we will use here.

We look forward to having many parents join us this year!
