This time of year we have a lot of fun and do a lot of celebrating!

Specifically, we celebrate our senior class. We celebrate their achievements and their plans for the future. We reflect on their contributions to our school and to the community. We also celebrate our retirees and those moving on to other opportunities in life.

One of the wonderful things about working in a school is that there is a beginning and an end. Each fall, we get a fresh start. Each spring, there is a sense of accomplishment in finishing well.

But about this time every year, reality sets in, and we recognize that we are going to have to say "goodbye" to our seniors with whom we've gotten so close. We realize that some of our friends and colleagues won't be here by our sides every day in the fall. Change is hard, but we give thanks that our Heavenly Father promises that he will be the constant in our lives.

Hebrews 13:8 reminds us that "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever."

I'm thankful that over the next few weeks we can give thanks in our celebrations and take comfort in our sorrows that God will be our rock. Thank you for your prayers and partnerships as we finish the 2018-2019 school year!
