Dear Parents,

Unprecedented. That is the best word to describe the last two weeks of weather, school closings, and power outages. While we will always err on the side of keeping students safe, we also acknowledge that the number of days off from school have been significant and nothing less than challenging for all.

As we look forward to welcoming students back to school next week, we have decided to shorten our upcoming Winter Break, originally scheduled for Friday, February 22 - Monday, February 25. Please note that we will still hold professional development for staff on Friday, February 22,  meaning there will still be no school for students on that day. However, we will now have school on Monday, February 25.

While we believe it is important to add this day back into our school calendar, we realize some families may already have made plans that cannot be changed. In that event, absences will be excused.

Thank you for your patience as we navigated the last two weeks together. Please join me in praying for safety, warmth, and improved weather conditions in the weeks ahead.  Spring is only 40 days away.

Sincerely,
