13-year-old New 2 You, Grand Rapids Christian Schools' upscale thrift store, was voted "Best Thrift Store in GR" by Grand Rapids Magazine in the publication's January 2018 issue.

Each year, Grand Rapids Magazine polls its readers to determine the best of the best in the community, everything "from cupcakes to professional sports teams," according to their website. Alongside restaurant favorites like Rockwell Republic, GR community members recognized the value and quality shopping experience of New 2 You, a retail store that prides itself on both a welcoming and polished environment.

"We are thrilled to be recognized by our all-important store buyers and by Grand Rapids Magazine as the Best Thrift Store in Grand Rapids," says Paul Holwerda, President of the New 2 You board.

Powered almost completely by volunteers—students, parents and, most of all, grandparents—the store celebrated reaching their $5 million tuition contribution goal in late 2017.

"Our dedicated New 2 You volunteers can take a great deal of credit for this high honor. Most devote countless hours to the store and give their talents and gifts to make our store the 'Best Thrift Store' in Grand Rapids!" says Store Manager Karen Witte. She

continues, "But they need help. For this reason, while we thank God for our success and our great volunteers, we also continue to pray for additional volunteers. It's our hope that others who are inspired by the success of New 2 You, would decide at this time to join our ranks."
