Evergreen Principal's Corner

One of the Team One students jumped out of his van on Monday morning and ran eagerly to me to say, “Mrs. Bakker, it’s December and it’s a new season in the church calendar-it’s Advent and we are waiting for Jesus!”  That same day during Monday afternoon chapel, the Team Two students led us in worship with scripture and songs as they introduced the Advent wreath and the candles of hope, peace, joy, love, and the Christ Candle.

My school day began and ended with children sharing their overwhelming excitement about the birth of Jesus.  

The banner that the Team Two students created hangs in the worship center to remind us daily of God’s great love for us.

Evergreen students and teachers will continue to share the wonder of Christmas during this season of Advent.
