In August of 2021, GRCHS launched a truly transformative course called Gone Boarding, which has now impacted nearly 100 students. The goal of Gone Boarding is to engage, inspire, and ultimately empower students to actively pursue their passions in the 21st century. This course has three themes: Dream It, Build It, Shred It!

Dream It. A place where the boundaries of the traditional classroom are expanded into a 21st-century learning lab where students are engaged, inspired, and empowered.

Build It. Students collaboratively design and construct a longboard, snowboard, and surfboard. This class leverages the power of project-based learning to engage kinesthetic hands-on learners who often are not able to demonstrate their strengths and talents in a traditional classroom.
