If your 8th grader attends Grand Rapids Christian Middle School, Ada Christian, Rockford Christian, or West Side Christian, you do NOT need to fill out the application for admission. Students from these schools are automatically accepted as new students to Grand Rapids Christian High School.
Students new to GRCS (students not from GRCMS, RCS, ACS or WSCS) must apply and be accepted to Grand Rapids Christian High School prior to registering for a scheduling night). Contact a member of the Admissions Team to get started.
Every spring, Grand Rapids Christian High School students are made aware of the selection criteria and application process. Students in grades 10 and 11, who have a cumulative grade point average of 3.7 or higher are eligible for consideration on the basis of service, leadership and character. (Current members do not need to re-apply for membership.) The list of applicants is presented to Faculty Council by the principal and final selection is made by a majority vote of that council. Students are notified for their membership status in late spring.

GRCHS is committed to providing an environment in which all students have access to a rigorous academic curriculum, including Advanced Placement (AP) courses. Students enrolling in an AP course are demonstrating a willingness to meet the rigor of AP curriculum. Beginning with the 2018-2019 school year, GRCHS will limit students to three AP courses per semester. We believe that this will best serve our students in the college application process. Students wishing to take more than three AP courses must receive permission from a counselor or an administrator.

If you need to take an online course for credit recovery, schedule conflict, etc., please talk to your counselor.
Independent studies can be arranged at GRCHS if a schedule conflict prohibits a student from taking a course.
Please see the Independent Study Application and arrange a meeting with your counselor if you are interested.
