Middle School Principal's Corner — November 5, 2019

I. Principal’s Corner – Being Thankful for the Little Things

During the month of November at GRCMS, we want to use our “Dream Small” theme to focus on two things: (1) a disposition of service and thankfulness as a response of gratitude for all that God has done for us and (2) being especially thankful for the little things that others do for us and that we can do for others.

In our chapels and other acts of service in November, we will reflect with our students on the importance of not only appreciating and being thankful for God’s daily small gifts, but we will also attempt to focus on doing small acts of service for others.  A disposition of gratitude and a desire to serve others are two of the key ways that we want to see our GRCMS students being intentional Kingdom servants and thoughtful neighbors.

As the theme logo that one of our 8th graders drew for this year shows, the ripple effect of small acts of service reach out to have a bigger and bigger impact on those around us.  South African Archbishop Desmond Tutu reminded us: “Do your little of good where you are; it is those little bits of good put all together that overwhelm the world.”  It is our prayer that the focus this month and this school year will continue out in increasing positive impact by our students on families, the school, and the broader communities of which we are a part.

II. Eagles of the Month for September and October
