Iroquois Principal's Corner

Iroquois Principal's Corner — May 12, 2020

God puts people in our lives at certain times in certain places. Have you ever looked back through life and thought of those certain people who were in that certain place and time? I have found this practice to be enlightening as I reflect on who I am as a person, and who I want to be as a Disciple of Christ.

I can remember my parents vividly as formative people. I can remember a few mean kids on the playground, and the ones who stood up for my friends and me. When I think of every year of school, I can remember all the teachers I had, and can clearly remember the influence they had on me. Teachers continue to be such important people to life as we know it.

Last week was teacher appreciation week. I certainly appreciate the teachers I had growing up, including the ones I didn’t much care for at the time! As I sit in the principal’s chair and get the best seat in the house for watching teachers at the Iroquois campus, all I can say is WOW! Our teachers are exceptional at what they do. They not only deliver an excellent education, but they love and care for each child in our system. They are formative people and have been put in your child’s life at just the right time.

Thank you, Iroquois teachers! You are nurturing, educating, and loving the most precious people we parents know. Thank you for being a formative person in their life. We parents are grateful for you, and appreciate you! May God continue to bless you as you answer his call.
