Why Christian Education?
What’s your raison d’etre—your reason for being? The Westminster Catechism says that our reason for being is “to glorify God and enjoy him forever.” In other words, God should be at the center of everything we are and everything we do.
The mission of Christian schools like ours is to provide excellent education that is centered on God.
Partnering with faithful parents and churches, Christian educators embrace the opportunity to strengthen each child’s faith and develop a deep understanding of the glory of God’s handiwork through instruction in science, English, math, world languages, the arts, physical education, and on stages and athletic fields.
The ultimate goal is to help students become people who are in tune with their Lord, eager to serve others, and truly equipped to understand and apply their faith in life, work, and community.
Are students able to receive an excellent education at a public or charter school? Absolutely. Are Christian schools perfect? Absolutely not. Christian schools, however, are uniquely enabled to provide an excellent education in an environment where Christian faith is at the center and in which students, teachers, and staff pray for and with each other and proclaim the name of Jesus and God’s sovereignty over all of creation.
