Stories of Impact: Community Highlights
See how our programs are making a difference!
- Assistant Mountain Biking Coach: Adding Ryan to our coaching team has significantly enhanced our mountain biking program. With Ryan's expertise in bike mechanics, our head coach can focus on rider development, creating a more effective and inclusive learning environment.
- Backpacking Guides: The addition of two new backpacking guides has been transformative. They not only share the workload but also bring diverse mentorship and role models, enriching the cultural experience for our students. Their enthusiasm and expertise are invaluable.
- Student Interns: Our student interns play a crucial role in trip planning and program management. Elem Rottman, a former intern now at Calvin University, exemplifies the program's impact. He's recognized as a top outdoor student, a testament to the valuable experience gained through our program. Mark Van Hekken does the work of three interns, juggling program planning, trip leadership, and graphic design. Mark is a tremendous asset and will leave some big shoes to fill next year when he graduates!
