The Anxious Generation: Rethinking Screen Time for a Healthier Future
A Conversation About Raising Independent and Resilient Children in a Tech-Saturated World
From a young age, children today are immersed in technology. One in four 8-year-olds has a cellphone, and by high school, over 95% of teens are online “almost constantly.” For many parents, navigating their children’s screen-filled lives can feel overwhelming. Teaching kids to create boundaries with screens and establish a healthy relationship with technology is incredibly challenging and often exhausting. But you are not alone!
You’re warmly invited to join a community of fellow parents and school leaders for an evening of conversation about screens, smartphones, and how to raise resilient, independent children in a tech-saturated world. Katherine Johnson Martinko, a national speaker and author of Childhood Unplugged, will share her insights and practical tips on navigating this complex and nuanced topic. Parents will also engage in breakout sessions to discuss and learn from one another.
The event is free, but tickets are required and available until April 28 or until capacity is reached. All parents of preschool through 12th-grade students are welcome. Let's support each other on this journey!
